An innovative program that nurtures creativity and technical expertise in digital design. Students gain knowledge in visual communication, branding, web design, and multimedia production using modern design tools and techniques.

This program focuses on the effective use of software applications in business, education, and office environments. Students acquire practical skills in word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentations to enhance productivity and efficiency.

Jitume ICT HUB

The ICT Officer’s office under the State Department for ICT and the Digital Economy (MICDE), serves as a vital link between trainees, the institution, and the broader digital ecosystem. The Kieni Technical and Vocational college ICT Hub supports digital transformation initiatives, ensure access to ICT resources, and provide technical guidance to staff, students and community members. The ICT hub also works closely with stakeholders to promote digital literacy, innovation, and the practical use of the ICT tools in learning, business and community development.

Core functions of the office

The JITUME ICT HUB plays a central role in implementing government ICT policies and supporting the digital agenda at the grassroots level. The key functions-:

  • Providing ICT support and maintenance
  • Facilitating digital skills training and capacity building
  • Support implementation of e-government services and digital inclusion initiative.
  • Offering technical assistance to teaching and administrative staff in the integration of technology in service delivery.
  • Managing network systems, ICT equipment and digital platforms within the Jitume ICT hub
  • Ensuring compliance with national ICT standards, cybersecurity guidelines and data protection policies.

Purpose and services of the ICT Hub

  • The Kieni ICT Hub is designed to empower the local community through digital access, innovation and skills development. It serves as one stop-center for digital learning, innovation and service delivery.
  • The Hub provide free access to internet enabled computers, training in digital skills and support for youth and entrepreneurs seeking to leverage technology for employment and business growth.
  • The ICT Hub is also a platform for accessing e-citizen services, government programs and online opportunities.
